Our Mandarin and Cantonese language schools offer Basic, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced level courses that focus on the four key language skill areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing, while considerable attention is also placed on pronunciation, oral communication and the appropriate usage of language in daily situations.

Our schools provide individual or group courses, intensive Chinese training, private Chinese lessons focusing on tourism, Chinese business, Chinese literature, Chinese art, Chinese culture and society. Cantonese and Mandarin language programs for Business, Corporate, Social, Academic Chinese purposes, Workplace Chinese programs, China Immersion Homestay program.

Academic Year Program (long-term intensive Chinese learning), HSK Preparation Program - prepares students for taking the elementary/intermediary level of HSK (The Chinese Proficiency Test).

Beijing, with a population of over 15 million, is located in the north east of China on the Pacific coast and literally means "northern capital", a role it has played many times in China's long history. Beijing is not only the modern political, cultural and educational center of China, but also boasts the largest collection of ancient sites and relics in the country.

It is truly a world renowned ancient cultural city with many scenic spots and historical monuments & artifacts, and famous architectural wonders, such as the Forbidden City which was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties; the Summer Palace, a summer resort for the Qing court, sitting within the largest Chinese-style garden in existence; The Ming Tombs of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty; Tiananmen Square known as one of the largest city squares in the world; The Great Wall of China - 70km northeast of Beijing.

Shanghai:
Shanghai is a city with ancient history combined with a dynamic and modern atmosphere. There are temples to visit and restaurants and nightclubs, too. Our school in Shanghai organizes many cultural and entertainment activities, such as a dumpling making party, mah jong classes, indoor snowboarding, trips to nearby cities like Suzhou, etc.

The Chinese school in Shanghai has a downtown location just behind the 750 year-old Jingan Temple, one of the few to survive the destruction of the Cultural Revolution. Jingan district is the central business district, and there is a wide variety of shopping opportunities, restaurants and bars in the area. We are also a five-minute walk from Jingan Temple Station (Metro Line 2), which provides easy access to the rest of Shanghai.

Shenzhen is a new city of 6 million people located next door to Hong Kong in the south of China. It has become the economic miracle of China's Opening Up policy. The last 20 years have seen an enormous influx of both capital and people, both from within China and outside. This rapid pace of change has created one of the most cosmopolitan and energetic cities in China where the average person is only 26 years old.

There are several unique factors about Shenzhen that we believe make Shenzhen truly a better place to study Chinese in China. Firstly, migrants are coming to Shenzhen from all over China. This means that Shenzhen is mainly a Mandarin Chinese speaking city, unlike the rest of Guangdong. This gives you well rounded exposure to the many different accents and dialects of Mandarin Chinese that you will hear and have to learn about in China.

Secondly, many of these immigrants come from China's North so you are still frequently exposed to "correct" Mandarin, especially in the classroom where our teachers are all northern and/or have passed Mandarin standards set by the government. Secondly, being in Guangdong, Shenzhen offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn Cantonese. Here again all of our Cantonese teachers are local to the area and are native speakers of Cantonese.

Hong Kong:
Hong Kong is a city of business and tourism in the south of China, known for its food, shopping, recreation and entertainment, making it a fascinating place to study and live. Cantonese, the official Chinese language in Hong Kong, is spoken by most of the population. Our school is located at is the heart of Hong Kong Island, and you can find most of Hong Kong's offerings nearby.

Since 1995, Our Chinese School in Hong Kong, China has been providing Cantonese and Mandarin language programs for Social, Academic, Business and Corporate Chinese purposes. As a registered language center we also provide Workplace Chinese programs (HKSAR Government sponsorship available), and offer a wide range of Chinese courses for all needs and abilities. It is also one of China's ancient capitals of cultural and historical heritage, and among China's most modern cities with many trendy bars, cafes and shopping malls. It is no exaggeration to say Hangzhou is the most beautiful city in China, a city endowed with splendid gardens and water, and most known for its natural beauty, especially the West Lake. The city is known to be safe and for its friendly people.

Our Chinese school in Hangzhou is located near the West Lake in a business and education area. Our school has a professional and international team of staff to run the school and take care of student affairs. They are multilingual and friendly. Languages spoken in the office include Mandarin, Cantonese, English, German and Spanish.

Near the school is a host of facilities and scenic spots. The city's largest sports center, Dragon Sports Center, is only a five-minute walk from the school.
