Location: Colombia, with a population of
almost 45 million, is a large and physically
diverse nation, and is the fourth-largest
country in South America (after Brazil,
Argentina, and Peru). Colombia is located in the
northwestern corner of South America, alongside
the Caribbean Sea between Panama and Venezuela,
and bordering the Pacific Ocean between Panama
and Ecuador. It shares borders with Venezuela to
the east, Brazil to the southeast, Peru and
Ecuador to the south-southwest, and Panama to
the northwest.
Colombia is a country of great physical
contrasts, ranging from the towering, snowcapped
peaks of the Andes to the hot, humid plains of
the Amazon River Basin. Beyond the media

Cartagena is the most popular tourist
destination in Colombia, located on the
Caribbean Sea, in the northwestern corner of the
country. Cartagena is a UNESCO World Heritage
City, and on the “must see” lists of millions of
world travelers. It is considered by many as one
of the world's most beautiful, fascinating and
magical cities, with beautiful refurbished homes
amongst exotic, highly attractive and dynamic
plazas, waterfronts and other attractive public
areas.
Rosary Islands Natural Park, a group of coral
islands with amazing beaches, is located close
to Cartagena. Only 40 minutes away is the Totumo
swamp which is a shallow fresh water lake
besides the sea, this is a paradisiacal place
where a huge variety of migratory and non
migratory birds nest being a delight for tourist
and locals. There you can take a bath into the
crater of a volcano, a mud volcano that's famous
for being good for the skin.
