Spanish Immersion in Costa Rica - Montezuma Language School
 La Escuela Del Sol in Costa Rica is an
immersion program for people who want to learn
Spanish fast while having an adventure in a
tropical paradise. We're located in Montezuma, a
picturesque little town known for its tranquility, its beauty and its sense of
adventure, on the eastern tip of the Nicoya
Peninsula in Costa Rica.

Whether this is your first attempt to learn the
language or the culmination of a lifelong quest,
Costa Rica is an unbeatable place to study
Spanish. “Ticos,” world famous for their spirit
of life and hospitality are also well known for
what’s widely agreed upon, as the “cleanest” and
most understandable accent of all Spanish
speaking countries. All of our teachers have achieved
college degrees and teach a university level
curriculum to guarantee you a top of the line
education.
 Location: Studying in Montezuma will give you the chance to practice with the locals and improve upon your learning in a fun, supportive
and beautiful environment. Our school & hotel
are right
across the street from the ocean and just
minutes walk from one of the most beautiful
beaches you’ll ever see. On one side of our
school & hotel, we graze the Montezuma river,
which leads to three separate waterfalls. On the
other side, we’re nestled by the tropical rain
forest. Many times, you’ll walk out of your room
to see monkeys swinging in the trees and multi-colored
birds you’ve never imagined.
Costa Rica, being only 10 degrees from the
equator, offers an unparalleled multiplicity of
flora and fauna throughout the nation. Some of
the highlights include 1,500 distinct types of
trees and 6,000 types of flowering plants,
including 1,000 species of orchids alone. Add to
that 830 identified species of birds and
countless mammals and reptiles and you can see
how Costa Rica is believed to be the most
bio-diverse land area on the planet.
Courses: We offer a 1 to 4 week, college
level, Spanish language program as well as
additional courses for adventure and self
enhancement. Those courses currently include
surfing, yoga and poi (fire dancing).

Accommodation: Private rooms with single
occupancy and shared or private rooms with
double occupancy. If you don’t take the option
to have a private room, you will likely have a
roommate. All rooms include a fan or air
conditioning and a private bathroom. All
students will have access to a kitchen as well.
The kitchen includes a everything necessary to
prepare your own meals, including a
refrigerator, stove and microwave, however,
because of the high quality and the low cost of
the food, many of our students prefer to eat
their meals in the center of town. This gives
you the opportunity to experience the incredible
ambiance Montezuma has to offer as well as the
chance to practice your Spanish
Activities: Giant turtle egg laying
tours, guided hikes through Curu National
wildlife refuge, zip line canopy tours and
horseback riding to private waterfalls are
options included in the program fee for all
