Cyprus College of Art - BA Undergraduate
Degree Courses in English
The Cyprus College of Art is located in the
picturesque Old Town area of Limassol on the south coast of Cyprus.
The Cyprus College of Art is a small and
friendly institution in which students and staff
work with a co-operative attitude to exploring
the ‘problems’ of art. In fact, the usual
divisions between teacher and student does not
really exist at the College, as we tend to treat
everyone as artists, with some simply more
experienced than others. Our ratio of staff to
students is one of the best in the world, with
one member of staff to every seven students
(1:7), which compares extremely well with the
British university average of one member of
staff to every seventeen students (1:17), and we
provide a deeply stimulating environment in
which to learn about art and experience the
ancient history and culture of Cyprus.
Our partners in the UK include the University of
Bolton, Bradford College (accredited by Leeds
Metropolitan University), York St John
(accredited by the University of Leeds) and
University College Northampton. Accreditation
and list of partners may change during the
course of the year.
The College has two teaching centres, one in
Limassol, on the south coast of Cyprus, and the
other in the village of Lempa, just north of
Paphos on the west coast. Limassol is our main
centre for teaching foundation and undergraduate
students, but we share space with the Limassol
Studios, a set of professional artists’ studios
rented out to painters, sculptors and other
artists from all over the world. Limassol is a cosmopolitan town, with excellent museums, art
galleries, shops, restaurant and cafes.
We may be able to offer free living accommodation to students not normally resident in Cyprus.Courses
ASET Foundation Award in Art and Design (A one
year course in art and design for people wanting
to go on to university),
BA Fine Art (with Britain's Open College of the Arts).
The Cyprus College of Art offers a variety of BA
(undergraduate) degree programmes in association
with our partners in the United Kingdom. With
the exception of BA Creative Arts, all of the
programmes require a period of study in Cyprus
followed by either two or three years of study
in the United Kingdom. All tuition is in
English.
