Can I choose the start date I want?
Yes, all courses are offered year-round but some have a limited number of start dates. Please check with us for course availability on your desired date.
Are the teachers native speakers and qualified?
Yes. All our teachers are native English speakers and hold English teaching qualifications such as the CELTA/ DELTA or MA ELT.
What can I expect in a General English lesson?
Kaplan Aspect uses the communicative teaching method, which puts great emphasis on listening and developing the ability to understand others. We use real-life situations and encourage communication throughout each lesson and the course content has a solid base of language functions (grammar) and appropriate social language (gestures and expressions).
Even in grammar classes, you will have lots of opportunity to practise communication. You will use lots of different resources in the classroom, including course books, audio-visual resources, authentic materials and a wide range of computer-based activities.
Do I get a certificate or diploma after the course?
You will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of your course, which will show your language level, your study dates and your attendance.
Are there any extra-curricular activities?
Yes. We have our own social coordinator at our English school in Edinburgh who organises a full activities programme and makes sure you have a good time and stay busy during your stay!
