Teen Summer Study Abroad Programs in France

Edu-Culture International:
Based in Berkeley, California, Edu-Culture International works in conjunction with AGI, a non-profit educational travel organization. With additional offices in Europe & Costa Rica, we are dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding between young people throughout the world.

ECI’s staff and volunteers are highly trained professionals with a background in education who have successfully organized educational travel programs in Spain, France, Costa Rica & the US since 1998. We specialize in summer study abroad and exchange programs for high school students, and have exciting summer trips based in Lyon, Aix-en-Provence and Toulouse.

These study trips provide unique opportunities for pre-college teens to learn French in France and offer the choice of staying with host families or in university-style dormitories. Most ECI programs require participants to be at least 15 years old with two years of language study completed prior to the summer trip.

French Immersion Programs:

ECI’s French immersion programs last from 3 to 4 weeks, with the first 2-3 weeks including language classes. These fun and interactive morning classes are taught in small groups to ensure each student gets the individual attention they require. Invaluable in helping to build conversational and grammatical skills, these classes are taught by experienced native speaking French teachers. In the afternoon, there are a variety of supervised activities like bike-riding, kayaking, swimming, cooking, soccer, visits to the beach among many others. Enjoyable excursions to neighbouring villages and towns will also be organized. After dinner we enjoy concerts, dancing, movies, and other social activities.
