The school is located in the oldest building in the town which dates from the XIII century.

Cahors, capital of the Department of Lot, is a town with 25,000 inhabitants, situated on a semi-island formed by a loop in the River Lot. Of Gallo-Roman origin, the town experienced remarkable growth in the Middle Ages which resulted in the mediaeval and Renaissance architecture which today gives its remarkable character and beauty. Mediaeval alleyways, Renaissance windows, the domed Cathedral, XVIII century staircases, the famous Pont Valentré have recently earned the town the title of a Great Tourist Site in the Midi-Pyrenees.
