The Centre organizes programs in Greece with participating colleges and universities in the United States and Canada in that emphasize classical, Byzantine, and modern Greek studies. The Athens Centre cultural programs include a touring theatre festival which arranges productions every summer. Special summer workshops are held in poetry, art and modern Greek .
The Greek House - Elliniki Estia in Kifissia, Atthens is a center for Greek language lessons and culture manifestations. The school was created in 1999, by 3 people with many combined years of experience in the fields of Greek language and Greek culture, who felt that the Northern suburbs were sorely lacking in an institution of this kind.
So far people from 27 countries aged 17- 64 have learned Greek in the Greek House and it seems that most multinational companies and foreign embassies in Greece choose the Greek House when it comes to learning Greek properly.

We offer Modern Greek classes for students of all levels from beginner to advanced at five intensities:

- Semi Intensive: 2 hours per day, 3 times a week
- Standard 1: 2 hours per day, twice a week
- Standard 2: 3 hours per day, once a week

The Hellenic American Union in Thessaloniki & Athens, Greece, is a public-service institution with an international focus and strong community commitment, dedicated to providing opportunities for a diverse range of audiences to encounter and benefit from innovative educational programs and cultural events. The Modern Greek Language Program has been offering courses in Modern Greek to foreign students in Athens since 1957. Since then, every year, more than 800 students from approximately 75 countries join the Program. Among other services, the Program also offers methodology courses for teachers.
The Hellenic American Union’s Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies has been accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) for the Modern Greek Language Program.

Lord Byron Schools of Languages provides year-round modern Greek language courses in our city centre school in Thessaloniki in Central Macedonia in Northern Greece, approximately 515 km (320 miles) north of Athens. We offer special tailor-made courses in Greek for specific purposes, activities and entertainment during the week, excursions and visits on a weekly basis and much more.
We also have an international summer school in Gerakini and Ouranoupoli, Chalkidiki in West Macedonia in Northern Greece. From Thessaloniki, Gerakini is 80 km (50 miles) and Ouranoupoli is 140 km (87 miles). Our summer school runs during the holidays with 4 or 5 hours Greek language tuition per day. All our teachers are highly experienced, hold university degrees and are bilingual.
Thessaloniki's international airport Macedonia is approximately 15 km (9 miles) south of the city centre, with direct connections to many national and international destinations.
