Languages in Action is an international organization of language schools providing opportunities to learn a language of your choice, at language schools around the world. Learn Spanish in Guatemala, in Central America with Languages in Action at our language schools in Antigua and Panajachel. Join us in a land endowed with simply staggering natural, historical and cultural interests. All over the country you'll discover remnants of Guatemala's colonial past, nowhere more so than in the graceful former capital, Antigua.

Courses: Our language schools offer Complete Beginner, Basic, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced level courses that focus on the four key language skill areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing, while considerable attention is also placed on pronunciation, oral communication and the appropriate usage of language in daily situations.

Our schools provide individual courses, intensive Spanish training, private Spanish lessons, Spanish Immersion Homestay program - stay with a Guatemalan family.

Activities include: Bicycle Tours, Tour of a Coffee Plantation, Textile Museum, Macadamia nut plantation, or churches and ruins, Salsa & Merengue dance classes, Guatemalan cooking classes, some sports.

Voluntary Work Placements: Volunteer opportunities are available in local hospitals with children or adults in different areas of service, such as social work, nursery care, kitchens and laboratories etc. Our school also supports an educational project in San Antonio Aguas Calientes.
