 Homestay:

HomestayYour homestay will be highly rewarding – many students form bonds that last for years. From sharing meals, to being invited on a weekend trip, you'll be made to feel like part of the family. Many of our families have been with us for years, and all are within a five to ten minute walk from the school.

Wholesome Meals

Every family prepares wholesome Guatemalan meals three times a day and abides by our strict preparation requirements. Fresh bottled water is always available, and if you are a vegetarian or vegan or have other dietary needs, that's not a problem.

Accommodations

In your room you'll have a bed, and a desk with and a lamp to study by. You'll have your own keys so that you may come and go as you wish. Couples and families often choose to be placed together, while solo travelers usually are placed singly. If you will be bringing small children, we can help you to arrange child care with your host family or provider.

 Courses / Programs:

One-on-one classes, which includes 25 hours of private class, activities, and homestay with all meals provided.

An optional Medical Spanish program is available, also a specialized program for pharmacists and pharmacy students which includes a volunteer pharmacy placement.

Conferences by experts in areas such as art, medical care, education, and human rights expand your knowledge of Guatemala and Latin America, as well as provide an opportunity to use your Spanish. Salsa and merengue dance classes help keep you on your feet! In addition, books, videos, and other resources are always available. And we're always open to planning special activities around your particular interests.
