Language Stars in Illinois provides fun, full language immersion programs for children (ages 1-10) in Spanish, French, Italian, German and Mandarin Chinese. Our mission is to revolutionize how and when American children learn foreign language to foster a future generation of multilingual Americans. Spanish Immersion:
Our most popular and continuously expanding language, Spanish at Language Stars provides a fun-filled experience that engages children each and every day! With over 25 native Spanish teachers from over 10 countries, we are thrilled to encompass multiple accents and cultures all within our larger Spanish umbrella! Our teachers focus their attention on engaging children through games, skits, art projects, stories and snack all completely in Spanish.
Thanks to our carefully developed curriculum, unique FunImmersion method, small class sizes of 4-8 children and our excellent team of native-speaking Spanish teachers, your child will learn Spanish naturally in a fun, engaging environment. Language Stars offers fun, play-based, full immersion Spanish Language classes for kids in 8 Chicago area language centers and over 70 public and private schools. Children from 12 months to 10 years attend our morning or afternoon Spanish language programs on their choice of day(s) form Monday through Saturday.
Kids Only:
Children climb the Language Stars Learning Ladder building valuable foreign language skills with each step up. Children absorb the foreign language through interactive games, arts & crafts, drama, puppet shows, singing, cooking projects and more, presented entirely in the foreign language. Your child will learn to communicate actively in age-appropriate groups of 4-8 children. We track and communicate individual language learning progress regularly.
3 to 5 Years:
Programs meet once or twice a week and any or our eight Chicago area language learning centers. We strongly recommend twice per week programs to accelerate language learning and provide maximum r
einforcement of new structures and vocabulary.
5 to 8 Years:
Children’s programs in Spanish meet once or twice a week. Where possible, we strongly recommend the twice a week to reinforced language learning and skills.
8 to 10 Years (advanced):
While we always maintain our focus on developing speaking and listening skills, we also introduce reading and writing in our 8-10 year old classes, using fun, age-appropriate games and activities. The older children’s language learning programs meet once or twice a week. We strongly recommend the reinforcement of twice a week where possible.
Parents & Tots:
Toddlers and parents or caregivers learn a second language together, absorbing the foreign language through a developmentally appropriate mix of movement, songs, puppet shows, art projects and more, presented entirely in either Spanish.
1-3 Years:
Where possible, we will tailor our programs toward separate 12-24 month and 2-3 year age groups.
Summer Camp:
Join us for fun, games and learning all summer long in our day camp and summer classes! Children 3-10, in age appropriate groups, love our Kids Only indoor and outdoor activities, water games, relay races, arts & crafts, cooking projects and interactive snack time, all in the foreign language. Our unique FunImmersion method ensures that children build key language skills in a full immersion context, and our dynamic teachers from around the world ensure an engaging, active learning experience!
