- The Audio Engineering & Production program incorporates in-depth training in sound engineering and music production. The school puts students in our world-class commercial recording studios with instructors and audio engineers who have active professional careers in the music industry.

Our intensive hands-on and theory training in music recording, audio engineering, live sound, sound engineering, and digital audio work stations is taught in the classroom and in our state-of-the-art recording studios. A PAVI education prepares you for a career in the music recording and audio engineering industry. PAVI also offers an optional Internship Placement Program.

- The Film & Digital Arts program has made us a top choice for film school education in Vancouver. We cover film production and digital filmmaking from script writing and funding, through the business of marketing and promotion. Our instructors are active in the thriving Vancouver film industry. The depth of course material and range of topics make our film school an ideal choice for film education.

Topics covered include film production, film making, digital film editing, screenwriting for film and TV, film directing, video production, film producing, film videography, film financing, cinematography, contracts & union law, film set and TV set skills, new media, film history, and more. PAVI also offers an optional Internship Placement Program.

- The Film & Music Business program provides the technical and business education required to begin on a business career in the prospering film industry and rapidly expanding music industry. Learn the basics of film production and music production from our industry professionals, and specialize in the highly sought after business skills required in the entertainment industry. PAVI also offers an optional Internship Placement Program.

This program examines the film and music industry from a promotional, legal and financial viewpoint. In the film portion we discuss basic film making, film industry jobs, film promotion, film industry contracts, film financing, film history, film tradeshows and film festivals, film administration, film production, film production accounting etc. The music industry section studies record production, concert promotion, entertainment business skills, music industry contracts, artist development, artist management, music festivals, an introduction to the modern recording studio, music promotion and marketing and many other topics. We also cover publishing and copyright, running an independent label, film industry business contracts and more.

- The Game Design & 3D Animation program presents an overview of the entire process for making a computer or video game, and provides the experience, software and production skills the Game Industry requires. Students work both individually and in teams, learning the technical and creative skills, and the project management and planning skills required to produce a modern computer game from start to finish. PAVI also offers an optional Internship Placement Program.

Vancouver, with a population of over 2 million people, is located on the Pacific coast of Canada, in the south west of the province of British Columbia. Pacific Audio Visual Institute is centrally located in the heart of Vancouver in the neighborhood of Mount Pleasant, and is easily accessible by public transit from anywhere in the city or surrounding areas, just one block off the Broadway bus line and a short walk from the Main Street SkyTrain station.

Adjacent neighborhoods are False Creek, Fairview Slopes, Marpole, East Vancouver and Strathcona.
