Griffith College Dublin:
Griffith College Dublin was established in 1974 and is now the largest independent college in Ireland, with a student population of over 8,000, including approximately 700 international students. It is based on a seven-acre campus in Dublin city centre.

The Faculty of Design has gained an impressive reputation in the design community over the last decade, winning three consecutive Graduate Designer Awards from the Institute of Designers in Ireland for interior architecture projects. 2005 saw the establishment of the Griffith College Dublin Professional Design School which offers a range of professional programmes for designers leading to certification. The Faculty of Journalism and Media offers higher diploma, honours degree, ordinary degree, diploma and certificate courses covering a wide range of subjects from writing, broadcasting, marketing, financial and legal dynamics, to printing and publishing.


 International Students:

International StudentsGriffith College Dublin’s International Office is committed to ensuring a high quality academic, cultural and social experience for our entire international student body. We currently have 66 different nationalities studying with us and this number continues to grow annually. International students have contributed greatly to the success if the College, both academically and through sporting and cultural achievements.

Student Media Awards:
The National Student Media Awards have been held each year since 2001. The awards ceremony is covered extensively by print and broadcast media. Each year Griffith College Journalism & Media students enter and do exceptionally well, winning first prizes and taking many more shortlisted places. The consistently successful record of Griffith Journalism & Media students is testament to their sense of professionalism and to their enthusiasm.

Faculty Overview:
The Faculty in Griffith College is very different from that of other large institutions. There is a gread degree of interaction between staff and students, especially in the studio classes, where the tutor and student are in constant dialogue. Each course has a Course Director and each year has a designated Year Head and project leaders, all of whom are easily contactable by e-mail and available for one-to-one meetings. Student work is focused across wide range of stimulating activities including practical workshops, specialist guest lectures, cultural trips, lab sessions, slide lectures, seminars and discussions. Live projects are worked on in conjunction with real-life clients – previous commercial clients have included Intel Ireland and Robert Roberts.

LocationThere can be few better cities than Dublin, the capital of Ireland in which to enjoy your time as a student. Dublin has a population of 1.5 million, with all the amenities of a big city, yet still retains a small town atmosphere.
