The DLTC is an English & foreign language school based in the beautiful seaside town of Dun Laoghaire, just 20 minutes from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. All our English classes focus on communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) as well as English grammar, but a special emphasis is placed on language production - you won't learn a language if you don't use it!

For this reason, our teachers encourage students to speak as much as possible about subjects that are relevant to them - and with small classes (average of only 8 students per class), students are guaranteed time to speak and to be listened to!
All our language teachers are well experienced and qualified to Department of Education & Science required standards, as well as having years of experience teaching English as a foreign language both in Ireland and abroad. So whether you want to improve your general English or prepare for Cambridge exams such as the First Certificate, CAE or IELTS, we have the experience to help you succeed.

The local area is safe, picturesque, and full of amenities - including two shopping centres, multi-screen cinema, traditional Irish pubs, cafés, restaurants, swimming areas, sailing, gyms, internet cafés, libraries, museums. Situated on several bus routes and right beside the DART commuter train station, students are only 20 minutes from Dublin city centre to the north and 20 minutes to Bray to the south. Dublin city centre is a lively place which offers everything that a modern European capital city has to offer while retaining its own traditional Irish charm. Bray on the other hand is the gateway to Wicklow, the 'garden of Ireland', with beautiful mountain walks among wild and scenic landscapes.
