Evening / Part-time Italian Classes in Dublin, Ireland

The DLTC is an English & foreign language school based in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland, offering genuinely small class sizes (10 students per class), native teachers and great prices. Learn Italian in a comfortable, well-equipped school, at an easy-to-reach location beside Dun Laoghaire DART station (20 minutes south of Dublin city centre by train).

Courses: Part-time evening courses in Italian beginning regularly throughout the year. Four levels from beginners to Intermediate. One-to-one classes also available. Our teachers are motivated with a sense of practical learning. We continually stress that a language is not learned until a student can use it practically and in real world situations. So you won't have your head stuck constantly in a book at the DLTC - you could do that at home!

Methodology: Our courses place great emphasis on 'spoken language'. In our experience, the greatest difficulty that many students have in learning a foreign language is mastering the ability to 'speak' the language as opposed to read, write or understand the grammar. In addition many students simply wish to learn enough of a language to be able to communicate in everyday situations while traveling or on holiday. For these reasons, the main emphasis of our group courses is on getting students to speak a language successfully and students are encouraged to speak as much as possible within the class.

Directions:
The school is on the same road as the Dun Laoghaire DART (train) station. Leaving the station main exit, turn right and walk about 200 metres down the road. You will see a big, yellow Georgian-style building on the left-hand side. This is Crofton Hall and the DLTC is up the stairs on the first floor.

From Dublin city centre - Take a DART from any of the city centre stations to Dun Laoghaire DART station, and then follow the directions listed above. Take a bus from city centre - the numbers 7 and 46a from outside Trinity College will both bring you to Dun Laoghaire and both stop on Crofton Road either directly in front of the school or at Dun Laoghaire DART station.
