 The DLTC is an English and foreign language school based in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland.
At the DLTC, we provide top-quality teachers, small
class sizes, special focus on spoken language, great
value-for-money courses, flexibility, and a very
personal service - all in comfortable,
well-equipped, school surroundings, at an
easy-to-reach location beside Dun Laoghaire DART
station (20 minutes south of Dublin city centre by
train).
Courses: Part-time evening courses in
Spanish beginning regularly throughout the year.
Four levels from beginners to Intermediate.
One-to-one classes also available. Summer 2006
Junior Spanish Courses (12-17 year olds).
Methodology: Our courses place great
emphasis on 'spoken language'. In our
experience, the greatest difficulty that many
students have in learning a foreign language is
mastering the ability to 'speak' the language as
opposed to read, write or understand the
grammar. In addition many students simply wish
to learn enough of a language to be able to
communicate in everyday situations while
traveling or on holiday. For these reasons, the
main emphasis of our group courses is on getting
students to speak a language successfully and
students are encouraged to speak as much as
possible within the class.
Directions: From the Dun Laoghaire DART
(train) station - The school is on the same road
as the Dun Laoghaire DART (train) station.
Leaving the station main exit, turn right and
walk about 200 metres down the road. You will
see a big, yellow Georgian-style building on the
left-hand side. This is Crofton Hall and the
DLTC is up the stairs on the first floor.
From Dublin city centre - Take a DART (train)
from any of the city centre stations to Dun
Laoghaire DART station. From there follow the
directions above. Take a bus - the numbers 7 and
46a from outside Trinity College will both bring
you to Dun Laoghaire and both stop on Crofton
Road either directly in front of the school or
at the Dun Laoghaire DART station. |
