Computer Science in Italy - University Bachelor Degree Programs
We
offer an undergraduate program in Computer Science and another
undergraduate program in Internet Sciences. Department offers a
three-year graduate program leading to a "Dottore di Ricerca" degree,
which is similar to the Doctor of Philosopy (PhD) degree. The program
is a consortium between the University of Bologna, and the University
of Padova.
The program consists of two semesters of course work
followed by research leading to a dissertation describing original
results. Each semester consists of three 20-hour courses with a final
exam or project. Admission for the 8 positions available annually is
through an entrance exam (in Italian) consisting of a written part and

The Top 4
finishers of the entrance exam are awarded full scholarships from the
University of Bologna. The remaining 4 positions may be awarded to
students with either external scholarships or with personal financial
means. There are no citizenship requirements for admission: all
candidates that hold the equivalent of the Italian "Laurea'' (Bachelor
of Science) undergraduate degree in Computer Science and that have
sufficient proficiency in the Italian language may participate.Courses
