 The Florence Institute, located in the center of Florence, Italy, is an international school of Italian design providing both masters and academic level design courses. The Institute specializes in a wide range of courses from Graphic Design, Interior Design to Architecture, for students from across Europe and around the world. We focus on today's international students with all classes taught in the English language. Courses
All courses are conducted in English so students should have proficiency in the English language. However, the institute does not require students to take the TOEFL.
The Florence Institute's courses teach the foundation of Italian design by combining modern technologies with Italy’s imaginative culture. By combining tradition, theory and technology our programs give you a detailed understanding of the Italian creative process. The latest design software is instructed and applied to challenging assignments that encourage creative thinking. Each student’s curriculum also has lessons in the Italian language.

- Architecture summer course. An introduction to basic architectural principals. Exploration of elementary building concepts, form, surface, and space. Basic understanding of the urban context and how elements of the city relates. On site observational analysis. Developing basic sketching and drafting skills in various media. A majority of the course is conducted in the form of walking tours where students can learn directly from the architectural works.
