TheDarkroom International School Of Photography:
TheDarkroom is in Via Cantagalli 1 red (red numeration). This is located in Oltrarno, just in front of Piazzale di Porta Romana, at the foot of Viale del Poggio Imperiale, the most exclusive and safe residential area of Florence. Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and the Duomo are at 15 minutes on foot from here or a few minutes by bus. The Train Station is at 10 minutes by bus. Istituto d'Arte di Firenze and Giardino di Boboli are directly in front of us. Piazzale Michelangelo and Astronomical Observatory of Arcetri are a few minutes away.

How can you get to Via Cantagalli?
From the railway station or the Duomo:
Take bus #11 direction "Due Strade" and get off at bus stop "Piazza della Calza", just at the end of Via dei Serragli, under the huge and ancient city door of Porta Romana. Walk around the rotatory clockwise. The second road is Viale del Poggio Imperiale. Go on that way. Via Cantagalli and TheDarkroom are on the right, just few steps after the first building.
Florence is a compact town. You can walk it coast to coast in less than one hour. If you choose to come on foot or by bike ask for "Porta Romana" as landmark.
Around us there are many shops, pizzerias, bars, cafes, gelaterias, bakeries, pastry-shops, italian and chinese restaurants with take-away service, supermarket, pharmacies, post office, hotels, internet points, banks, hospital and self service laundry.
The Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo are a few minutes on foot from here.
