The Centro Machiavelli was founded in 1978, and is located in the historic centre of Florence, just a stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, in the area of Santo Spirito. Frontino is a peaceful medieval village numbering 400
inhabitants. The Study Centre is situated inside the Hotel Rocca dei
Malatesta in Frontino. It sits on a hill in the Sasso Simone and
Simoncello Nature Reserve and is very close to Tuscany, a few minutes
away from the ski slopes of Mount Carpegna and an hour's drive from
the beaches of the Adriatic. In short, it is the ideal spot in which
to combine regenerating country walks and informative cultural
excursions, while experiencing one of the most beautiful areas in
Italy. A wonderful introduction to the Italian Language, food,
countryside, old towns and way of life. The small language class and
opportunities to practice what you learn, help greatly in establishing
a working vocabulary of words and phrases. Nobody speaks in English,
so you have to speak Italian.
