Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan's capital, is the country's largest city and has a population of over 12 million, about 10 percent of Japan's total population. It is located on the Pacific on the eastern coast of Honshu, Japan's largest and most historically important island. For anyone interested in architecture and design, Tokyo is a city of dreams. Effortlessly blending the old style and the new, where cutting edge technology glitters beside ancient temples, flashing neon lights shine upon kimono-clad women in traditional Japanese dress, where skyscrapers tower above beautiful Shinto shrines, Tokyo is quite literally a city that defies definition. Tokyo and the surrounding areas offer endless opportunities in tourism, dining, entertainment and shopping.

Established in 1984 our Japanese school in Tokyo is situated in Shinjuku, one of the 23 wards of the metropolis of Tokyo. Shinjuku commonly refers to the large entertainment area, and business and shopping areas around Shinjuku Station, Japan's busiest railway station.

Our school is a member of the Association For The Promotion of Japanese Language Education (Nihongo Kyoiku Shinko Kyokai) and a member of The Forum for Business Japanese sponsored by JETRO which is an extra-departmental body of MITI. The school is also authorized by the immigration Office as a Visa proxy.

Okazaki
Okazaki, is an historic city located in central area in main island of Japan, 300 km west of Tokyo and 150 km east of Kyoto, centrally located between Tokyo and Osaka. Part of an extensive metropolitan area comprising more than 7 million people, Okazaki City is now a satellite city of Nagoya and forms part of Japan's affluent manufacturing belt comprising of Toyota, Okazaki, Gamagori and Toyohashi cities. It is a boom town, one of the fastest growing cities in Japan.

It is situated where the Oto and Yahagi rivers meet. The eastern and northern borders of Okazaki city are ringed with hills, which border on the Akaishi Mountains, known as the South Japan Alps. There are plains on the western and southern borders of the city. The city is blessed with scenic beauty throughout the year, from the cherry blossom and lush greenery in the spring to the splendid foliage in the fall. It is also a short distance with train or car from numerous hot springs and Pacific Ocean beaches. There is good access to Okazaki from the new Chubu International Airport.

Okazaki City is safer, cheaper and quieter than cities like Tokyo or Osaka, and more suited to learning Japanese while gaining a real sense and taste of the traditional Japan. The local area around our Japanese school in Okazaki, still has a small town feel because the city is spread out, with low housing density, tree lined streets, numerous parks and large shopping malls. The school in Okazaki is a non-profit, specialist center for Japanese studies. Established in 1919, the center teaches Japanese, Japanese linguistics, and modern Japanese culture to international students.

Offering top quality Japanese language training in Japan, our APJLE accredited school offers 3 awards for students who complete ACJS programs. These are the Course Certificate, the Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma. The course certificate is issued to all students completing an ACJS program, the Graduate Diploma is the highest level award.

 Osaka:

OsakaOsaka is one of Japan's most exciting cities. It offers so much for visitors to enjoy: a fascinating history, enchanting waterways, vibrant commerce, world-class shopping, fabulous food, a rich cultural heritage and lively festivals. It's always a buzz of activity and fun, with lots to see and do.

The Japanese language school in Osaka is located in the center of the city with all the facilities of a modern language school, including a library, computers with internet access and a nurse’s office. All Japanese language teachers are native speakers, are highly qualified and have years of experience teaching Japanese as a second language.

Fukuoka
Fukuoka is located in the south-west of Japan in the Kyushu region, and offers a moderate climate, beautiful scenery and an all-round great location. In 1997, 1999 and again in 2000, Fukuoka was ranked the best city in Asia by Asia week magazine. In 2000, Fukuoka was ranked the best city in Asia by Asia week magazine.

Fukuoka's renowned cuisine (the city has more restaurants per person than anywhere else in Japan) and warm-hearted people will make your stay here a pleasure. Foreigners are still not too common a sight in Fukuoka, so you will be sure to enjoy plenty of attention, and people are always happy to help you. Fukuoka is bursting with culture: its many art galleries, museums, and theaters will give you your fill of the Japanese arts, while the nightlife is the best on the island.

Fukuoka International Airport is one of the most conveniently located airports of Japan, very close to Fukuoka city. The airport is serviced by numerous flights from key Asian cities as well as Honolulu, and has good flight connections with all major Japanese cities, especially with Osaka, Tokyo (Haneda Airport) and Nagoya.

Our Japanese school in Fukuoka is located in the city centre in Tenjin. We offer Japanese language courses in a range of areas. We can arrange a homestay family for the student, and various interesting activities for the duration of your stay.

 Sapporo:

SapporoSapporo is the fifth largest city in Japan, with a population of more than 1.8 million people. The Japanese language spoken here is much closer to standard Japanese than are dialects elsewhere.

Sapporo is located in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of the Japanese group of islands, about 1 and half hour north of Tokyo by airplane. Sapporo is a young and enterprising city founded only less than 130 years ago when Meiji government set about developing Hokkaido into a new agricultural and strategic region. Sapporo's modern buildings and busy streets are interspersed with lush parks and green hills, with the Toyohira river flowing through it. An abundance of natural beauty surrounds the city. Within an hour's drive are spectacular lakes, forests, seaside resorts and hot springs in stunning mountain settings. Many visitors claim that the scenery resembles northern Europe.

Hokkaido's geographical position provides warm, dry summers and crisp, cold, snowy winters (skiing and snowboarding are popular). Sapporo organizes international events, including the Pacific Music Festival held every summer, and the Sapporo Snow Festival. Many of Japan's leading companies have established branches in Sapporo and more than 100 schools of higher learning are located there. The nearby New Chitose International Airport offers numerous domestic flights from most of Japan's big cities, Tokyo and Osaka. It also caters for international destinations such as Seoul, Honolulu and Amsterdam.

In 1987, our Japanese school in Sapporo, Japan became the first language school in Hokkaido Prefecture to establish a Japanese language program. Our school is officially a member of the APJLE (Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education). Sapporo Immigration Bureau approved our school as a high quality institution.

Our school is located in the Maruyama district, which is known for it sophisticated atmosphere and unspoiled natural surroundings. The Maruyama area is connected to downtown Sapporo by subway, and the subway station is within walking distance of the school. There are also many foreign consulates (USA., Australia, Germany, Republic of Korea, China, Philippines, Russia) in the neighborhood. Some 180 students from 24 countries are learning here, and our alumni exceed 1,000. Many have gone on to study at Japanese universities - more than 80% in recent years.
