Programs: Total immersion in the Japanese
language, with native Japanese teachers who have
degrees and years of experience teaching
Japanese as a foreign language. Total Beginner
to Advanced classes are available.
- Japanese Language &
Culture Immersion Programs: Summer - Fall -
Winter - Spring.
Students who are new to Japanese learn effective
communication skills quickly; advanced students
learn how to express themselves at an abstract
level. To provide the most comprehensive
curriculum, total programs combine core language
classes with
language and culture workshops, and
language
exchange with native Japanese speakers.
The immersion programs integrate all aspects of
the language: reading, writing, speaking,
listening, grammar, phonetics, and vocabulary.
Accelerated teaching methods allow participants
at lower proficiency levels to acquire the
language skills needed for effective
communication in a short period of time, and
advanced students to gain expression proficiency
at an abstract level. Topics studied include
everyday situations and Japanese culture,
society, and history.
- Japanese Language & Martial Arts Program:
This program is ideal for those who wish to
combine their Japanese Language studies with
Martial Arts training. Japanese language classes
focus on developing listening, speaking,
reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation.
Train in traditional Japanese martial arts,
Karate or Judo, in the land of their origins.
- Homestay Program - Stay with a Japanese host
family.

School Location:
Tokyo metropolitan area, including the city,
some of its suburbs and the surrounding areas,
is home to approximately 12 million people. This
vibrant and lively city is one of the world's
main economic centers. Home to the Imperial
Palace, Tokyo is a city full of contrasts where
the old city blends its ancient character with
modern day Japan.
Located right in the heart of Tokyo's city
center, Chiyoda District, the Academy of
Japanese Language and Culture is close to
Tokyo's main business and financial district, as
well as universities and numerous bookstores and
retail offerings. It is conveniently located a
minutes walk to nearby train stations such as
Jimbo-cho, Kudanshita and Suidobashi Stations. A
15 minute train ride will take you to other
major areas of Tokyo city such as Shibuya,
Shinjuku, or Ikebukuro.
Accommodation:
World Link Education makes all accommodation
reservations and preparations for participants
in the total program. A wide range of options is
offered to suit different needs. For the privacy
and convenience of participants, single rooms
are provided. Double rooms are available for two
students coming to Japan together and studying
for the same duration.
Homestay accommodation is also available. Live
in a welcoming home with a Japanese family and
learn about the culture and traditions while
improving your Japanese. Host families have been
interviewed and selected by onsite staff.
Factors taken into account when selecting
families include the cleanliness and comfort of
the home, nature of meals (that breakfast and
evening meals are varied and balanced), family
presence and the family's ability to welcome
international guests.
Free Guided Excursions, Activities and
Events:
To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, a
range of free guided excursions, after-class
activities, and social events are included as
part of the Total Program. These after-class
activities provide participants with education
outside the classroom, expanding their
vocabulary and knowledge of Japan's rich and
varied culture, tradition, history, art and
society.
A calendar of scheduled events is provided at
the start of the program and varies according to
the student intake. Admission and transportation
are included at no additional cost. The program
of scheduled activities varies. These excursions
and activities are held on weekday afternoons or
weekends.
