Conceived and founded in Florence in 1985 by Giò Carbone, Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School and Academy is the most prestigious private italian school for contemporary jewellery, organising and running courses in subjects relating to jewellery making, jewellery design, engraving and related subjects, conceived along original lines that combine technical training, artistic research and contemporary design.
The school has always stood out because of its activities in promoting jewellery culture in the widest and most complete sense of the expression. Our completely innovatory teaching methods has left the old stereotypes behind and invented, tested and refined a creative, personalised way of learning, without losing sight of the acquisition of the techniques and concepts.
Since 2003 the school has been the only private Training Agency accredited by the Educational Authority to run training courses in the jewellery/goldsmithery sector.

From the first day of the course the students work with silver and stones, of which they have a huge store available. All materials are included in the fees, and students keep all the jewellery they make, except for one piece which remains to the School.
