Since 1980, F+U Academy of Languages has been offering German courses in Heidelberg. Our teachers are fully qualified and design the lesson with a very lively, and entertaining style. Company internships in Germany and abroad:
F + U is authorised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry for the federal state of Baden-Württemberg to carry out an internship programme (language course + internship in accordance with “Eurodyssée” in Germany and in other European countries. Please request our special programme.

DSH:
Many higher education institutions expect foreign students to sit the DSH as a requirement for admission to a full course of academic study.
TestDaF:
The T
estDaF is a language test for foreign learners of German who plan to study in Germany or who require recognised certification of their language skills. You need to reach at least TDN 4 in each subtest for admission to university. A score of TDN 5 shows that you have a very good knowledge of German, above that required at the beginning of your studies.
F+U is accredited auditing center for TestDaF.
TestAS:
TestAS is a central standardised aptitude test for foreign students. TestAS gives prospective students information about their individual ranking compared to other applicants. With good results, they can improve their chances of being admitted for studies at a German university.
TestAS was offered worldwide for the first time in 2007. Many universities and institutions of higher education will include this aptitude test in their admission procedure in 2007 or 2008 and add the TestAS result to their requirements.

TELC:
TELC stands for „The European Language Certificates”. These language examinations, which are recognized across Europe, are held in fifteen countries and in over 3000 facilities for various levels of competency.
State accreditation: The European language certificates are internationally recognized and highly valued. Examples: The examination for the German certificate is a precondition for the acquisition of the German citizenship; several German states recognize the European language certificate in place of various diplomas.
Italy: The German certificate is recognized by the Minister of Education. Poland: B1 and B2 TELC-examinations are recognized as a prerequisite for public services. Hungary, Czech Republic: TELC-English and German certificates are recognized by the state. Academic accreditation: In Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland the TELC-examinations facilitate the entrance into College
and vocational academies. In Germany the accreditation is regulated exclusively by the state, but a growing number of colleges and vocational academies accept a TELC-certificate in German, English, French or Spanish as evidence of sufficient language skills. Please inquire at the according colleges and vocational academies.
Recognition on the job market : The number of examinations and acquired certificates are essential for the popularity and recognition on the job market. There are numerous important associates in all the countries where the Chamber of Commerce and its organizations are represented.
F+U is an accredited auditing agency for TELC.
TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language™ (TOEFL®) measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings (in Germany and in the USA, among others). We are a recognised test centre for TOEFL, TO
EIC, and others.

Distance Learning German course:
For those who wish to acquire a first introduction to the German language without leaving their country, and also for those who need to an initial German language certificate in order to get a visa, F+U offers an online project for learning German as a Foreign Language. This is easy, uncomplicated and leads straight to a success. A tutor and online material are available.
Internship Opportunities:
The Ministry of Trade and Industry for the federal state of Baden-Württemberg has authorised F+U Academy of Languages to provide the internship program “Eurodyssée”. In accordance with this program, foreign citizens take a four weeks language course and are subsequently placed in internships in companies. Similar programs are carried out for the “Leonardo da Vinci” – EU Programme.
