ESL English Programs
We offer ESL programs at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced English levels. Each level has classes in pronunciation, reading, writing, grammar, listening and oral communication. Our unique methodology incorporates practical conversation, grammar, reading, writing, and pronunciation in all levels. We use carefully selected and up-to-date textbooks, DVD, internet and other media as well as many different types of conversational activities to create a fun and easy English learning environment. Our experienced teachers create an English-speaking-only class right from the first day.
Spoken English is our main focus in all levels from Basic to Advanced. Writing and reading skills are also an important part of our English program. After completing the basic levels, students are able to speak about their personal lives, as well as the places and activities they are familiar with. In the intermediate levels, the students are now able to express opinions and thoughts more easily incorporating commonly used idioms. The students in our advanced levels have the opportunity to expand their vocabulary and practice their conversation with up-to-date and realistic themes.
IELTS Preparation Course
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.
TOEFL Test Preparation
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is spoken, written and heard in college and university settings. Most people who take the TOEFL test are planning to study at colleges and universities where instruction is in English. In addition, many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency.
Health Care Internship Program
Offered in both one or two week program formats, to international students and US candidates. Medical ESL is added as an extra curriculum among regular English classes in the mornings. This is a Study & Travel Concept, and includes a CPR course, nursing lectures, tours to Hospitals and Medical Centers in LA, English classes and some sightseeing. On completion of the program, candidates receive a certificate which mentions the hospital visits and nursing lectures that are held.
