Mission Statement:
The Kinabalu International School aims to provide an excellent British-style education in an international context where the individual needs of children are met in a secure, stable and enjoyable environment. In doing so the school aims to:
* Challenge students to reach the highest possible academic standards.
* Encourage all students to develop individual talents and abilities and to aspire to excellence, whether it be in the academic arena, creative or performing arts, or in the field of sports.
* Foster the development of social skills, patterns of behaviour, environmental awareness and positive learning habits for students to achieve their full potential as responsible world citizens.
We believe:
* in caring for the needs and developing the talents of all our students irrespective of race, religion, ability or sex;
* in challenging students academically and developing in them positive study habits in preparation for higher levels of educational and vocational studies;

Programs:Nursery Program; Primary School Program; Secondary School Program to Year 11 (IGCSE Levels); Our curriculum closely follows the British National Curriculum, with SAT tests at the end of Key Stage 1, 2 & 3. Year 11 pupils sit the GCSE examinations through Cambridge & London Universities. English is the medium of instruction, but Malay or French are also taught.
