INTENSIVE SPANISH PROGRAM (AT THE SCHOOL AND ONLINE):
Our Intensive Spanish Program is a first-rate language program, with dedicated, well-qualified and dynamic instructors who love teaching and working withinternational students. Our instructors and other International Education staff have lived and worked overseas.
Full-time ISP (Intensive Spanish Program) students study Spanish for 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The ISP is divided into nine levels of instruction, for beginners to advanced students.
Regular ISP sessions run for 10 weeks, but students may register for fewer weeks. For students who do not enroll for a full session, tuition and fees are pro-rated.
Basic Spanish:
This course introduces and discusses the most important aspects of teaching: basic theory, job opportunities, teaching speaking, grammar, listening, reading and writing skills, how to assess student needs, develop a syllabus, and hints and tricks for a more enjoyable teaching environment. During the c
ourse ready to go lesson plans will be provided to help you implement the techniques discussed.
Intermediate Spanish:
This course uses an imaginary biography to get students asking questions and speaking about completed accomplishments (present perfect) and duration of activity (present perfect continuous) in contrast to the simple past. Getting students to come to terms with phrasal verbs is a constant challenge.
This lesson takes a two pronged approach to helping student learn phrasal verbs. It begins with a reading comprehension, which is peppered with phrasal verbs, followed by a brainstorming session for students to create lists of phrasal verbs to share with one another.
Advanced Spanish:
With this course you are going with the uncomplicated verb conjugations and noun recognitions and from there progressed to being able to read, write and recite complete sentences.
From there, the journey took you from complete sentences to paragraphs and then to pages and finally to entire conversations with local people.
Conversational Spanish:
The goal of Conversational Spanish courses is to make you comfortable using Spanish in any situation you may encounter in everyday life, such as: travel, social and business introductions and meetings, using the telephone, effectively participating in a conversation, etc.
This course is focused on communication skills and includes listening comprehension, textbook study, practice in the key structures of Spanish and pronunciation practice. However, the Spanish course also cover all aspects of grammar, reading and writing and communication in detail.
AP Spanish:
Students are given successful strategies for review and for taking the test itself. They also get high quality test preparation materials and course content. Students test themselves both to practice for the exam and to diagnose areas of weakness. Once they have discovered those weaknesses.
Latinoamierica:
We study the History of Latin America civilization begining with the name of Latin America to the recent interpretative approches to the challenges of Latin America culture ans civilization. To take this course, you will need to have an advanced Spanish.
