Why learning Chinese is a great goal:
Chinese is the most common language of the world with Chinese speaking people probably exceeding one billion. The most commonly spoken variety of Chinese is Mandarin. Mandarin is the most widely spoken form of Chinese. It is official language in People's Republic China, Hong Kong (which is now once more part of the PRC) and Taiwan. Due to historic reasons, most Chinese-speaking people in the United States speak Cantonese. Cantonese is spoken by about 66 million people who mainly live in the south east of China, particularly in Hong Kong, Macau, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan provinces. It is also spoken in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and among overseas Chinese communities in many countries. Cantonese is the main language of business, the media and government in both Hong Kong and Macau, and the medium of instruction in many schools in Hong Kong and Macau, although the students are taught to read and write standard Chinese.

Location:
We are located at 135 West 29th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, and are on the 12th floor (Suite #1204). We also hold classes at our sister school on 7th Avenue and 29th Street, so be sure to check with our staff at which location your class will be held. Most subways stop within very close walking distance to us. We recommend any stop on 28th Street, Herald Square, 34th Street or Penn Station.
