Conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan NYC, just one block west of Grand Central Station, PC TECH provides quality full-time and part-time English language courses to students from around the world. Established in 1999, our English courses include Intensive English and TOEFL exam preparation. Available year-round, our courses are suitable for students of all levels of English - beginner, intermediate & advanced. We offer flexible schedules with morning and afternoon classes available. After successfully completing your course, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Full-time & part-time ESL programs:
Our full-time & part-time ESL programs are designed for international students as well as for our local students. There are many different teaching levels for students at PC TECH: lower beginner, mid-beginner, higher beginner, lower intermediate, mid-intermediate, higher intermediate, lower advanced, mid-advanced, and higher advanced.
Full-time Intensive English Courses:
The emphasis in our intensive English courses is on speaking, grammar, listening, vocabulary, presentation and discussions. Our courses encompass pronunciation, vocabulary building and conversational activities using grammar contextually. Intensive English courses start every Monday and the following options are available:
Intensive 18
Full-time program: 18 hours per week. Morning & afternoon classes available.
This course is designed for students who want to improve their English conversation skills, but also want time to explore New York City. With morning and afternoon classes available Monday to Friday, this program provides students with plenty of free time before and after classes, both weekdays and weekends.
The aim of this course is to allow you to communicate better by improving your speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. Though this course is not limited to conversation only, it also includes grammar, reading, writing and comprehension. Improve your reading skills using articles from newspapers and magazines and write the contents in a comprehensive manner.
Intensive 36
Full-time program: 36 hours per week
This full-time course lets you dedicate more time to learning English with your teacher(s), taking the time to seriously practice English. It is designed for students who want the maximum level of improvement in understanding the intricacies of the English language and want to be able to talk like a native English speaker.
This full-intensive curriculum places special emphasis on each key language skill: reading, listening, and writing and more focus on fluent speaking. In return, you will achieve your goals quickly and your English abilities will soon rise to the next level. You have the entire day to yourself on weekends to freshen up and get a taste of New York City and be back to class the next week.
Extra-curricular Activities:
Our qualified and experienced English teachers create schedules that allow you to go beyond the classroom and experience English conversation first-hand. For example, we can arrange visits to museums, "special guest" visits, trips to places of historical interest, and a thorough look at life in New York City to help engage our students in verbal exploration for the improvement of their English skills. You will also have opportunities to learn more about American culture during your class sessions and on field trips.
Part-time English Course:
3 days/ 10.5 hours per week. Morning and afternoon classes available.
If you want to improve your English but cannot dedicate the time to attending classes every day, our part-time English course is ideal for you! Available year-round, you can start any Monday. We provide flexible schedules for this course, 3 days a week. You will be placed in a class at the appropriate level for you with an average ratio of students between 10 and a maximum of 20.
The curriculum focuses on four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. We also teach pronunciation through vocabulary-building group discussions and conversation using grammar contextually. Improve your reading skills using newspaper articles and also write the contents in a comprehensive manner.
Class Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Morning class: 10:00am-1:30pm or Afternoon class: 2:00pm-5:30pm
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Exam Preparation:
4-week (72 hours) or 8-week (144 hours). Course start every Monday.
The TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) evaluates the ability of an individual to use and understand English in an academic setting. It is required for entrance to most North American universities and colleges by non-native English speakers. In addition, institutions such as government agencies, businesses, licensing bodies, or scholarship programs may require this test.
In the TOEFL exam, students will have to demonstrate their ability to integrate the language skills by completing tasks similar to those that they will be expected to accomplish in academic settings. The course prepares you for this by first evaluating your strengths and weaknesses and you will maste
r important academic skills.
The TOEFL course includes:
- Review of language skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Review of academic skills: Note-taking, paraphrasing, summarizing, synthesizing
- Examples of questions, including sample essays and speaking responses
- Online mini-tests to increase your reading and comprehension speed
- Audio scripts for practice, activities, quizzes and model tests
Summer English Courses:
18 hours per week
Our Summer English courses in New York offer a wide variety of benefits for the ESL student. These classes offer students the chance to learn to speak English properly, and give them the opportunity to speak with different students for a new learning experience, as well as the opportunity to make new friends.
PC TECH offers a variety of full-time and part-time classes for scheduling ease. Morning classes and afternoon classes are available. Start with any class on your level every Monday. There is an emphasis on speaking, grammar, listening, vocabulary, presentation and discussions. Extracurricular school activities are also included. You will be awarded with an authorized Certificate of Completion at the end of your course. Accommodation options include homestay with a local host family or residence accommodation.
Homestay Program with a Local American Family:
Immerse yourself in the English language and American culture, while living locally with a carefully-selected host family and attending your English language classes! Students will be placed with welcoming families in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens or New Jersey. Homestay can be a great experience for students who want to learn native English in a non-classroom environment. You will get to practice the English language skills you have learned with the members of the household.
