 Campuses:

At George Institute of Learning is a well established school, with campuses located in the central business districts of Auckland and Wellington. The central locations are well served by rail and bus links while being close to Auckland and
Victoria University city campuses.
St George has two campuses in Auckland, both of which are conveniently located in the central city. Young nternational students study English at the Shortland St site, in the beautiful historic Old South British Building. In addition to this we
have a new campus on Queen St, Auckland’s main street. This is for students studying towards Diploma and National Certificate courses. Our campus in Wellington is on Willis St, right in the heart of the city.
St George is also handy to the Auckland shopping precinct and the excellent array of restaurants and cafes to be found in this metropolis. It is within easy reach of most of the backpacker centers in the city.
Queen Street extends to the beautiful Waitemata Harbour with its ships, ferries and yachting marina which plays host to yachts and crusing liners from all around the world. Within easy reach are many good beaches and parks as well. Day and night, Auckland is a thriving city that never sleeps.

 Homestay:

HomestayWe are very proud of the superb group of local families who host our students and we feel that the quality of our homestay accommodation is second to none. Of course the beauty of New Zealand as a place to study English is legendary, and our families are real families, not impersonal boarding houses. Staying with a friendly family and studying at a good school gives our students total immersion in the language and that brings about real progress, quickly. All of our homestay families have been visited and assessed by St George staff, making sure they are appropriate for our students and of  a consistently high standard. We ensure that we match students with families who can accommodate their preferences; for example special dietary requirements or being unable to live with pets.

 Activities:

ActivitiesFriday afternoon is always fun at St George – every Friday we either organise an activity or show a movie,

providing an entertaining way for students to practise their English and see more of Auckland.  Recent highlights have been mini golf, surf school, ice-skating and a cooking contest – and we are always open to students’ suggestions!

Every second week we show a movie as our Friday activity and have a great selection – new releases, old favourites and some New Zealand movies too. We show movies with English subtitles so that students can read along with the ialogue, and have a teacher watching the movie to answer any questions about new words or phrases.
