 Located in the main street of Timaru, which is the closest city to the beautiful lakes and mountains of the South Island of New Zealand.
The school is centrally located and is close to
shops, post office, library, cinemas and
sporting and recreational facilities. The South
Canterbury School of English Language uses
modern methods and materials, has comfortable
classrooms and a student lounge with coffee and
tea making facilities and recreational and
social activities.
The Classroom: A maximum class size of 10 and an
average class size that is smaller than this.
All textbooks, tapes and resources for learning
are provided by the school. We also have a small
library for student use.
Timaru is a costal city with a safe sandy beach
but it is also the closest city to the beautiful
lakes and mountains of the South Island of New
Zealand. These mountains provide great winter
skiing, snowboarding and skating. It is less
than two hours from Christchurch, the South
Island of New Zealand's largest city and two and
a half from Dunedin, an educational center of
