Location and Facilities:
Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal. Its metropolitan area has a population of over 2.5 million. One of the most enjoyable cities of Europe, Lisbon is a place of cultural diversity, a place where old and new come together to create the spirit of the city. It is located in the west, on the Atlantic Ocean coast where the river Tagus flows into the Atlantic. The historic centre of Lisbon is built on seven hills, and some of the city's streets too steep for cars or buses. The Portuguese school in Lisbon is located in the heart of town, very close to the metro.
Porto in the north of Portugal is very different from Lisbon and is unashamedly commercial. Its metropolitan area has a population of over 1.5 million. The city's fascination lies very much in the life of the place, with its prosperous business core surrounded by smart suburbs and elegant villas, side by side with a heart of cramped streets and ancient alleys that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Classified Area. The Portuguese language school in Porto is located in the city center, close to restaurants, cafes, shopping malls and just a few minutes walking distance from the old town and the Douro River.
