Training Center
LatInSoft Training centre, a State-accredited
educational establishment, is situated in Latvia, near the
Baltic Sea and offers Russian as a foreign language courses in a
Russian environment. Recently, Latvia joined the European Union.
Our city, Daugavpils, is the second largest city in Latvia and
has population of about 120 thousand people. Daugavpils is a
multicultural city where 55% of the population are ethnic
Russians, 96% of the population are fluent in Russian and
Russian is the most common language of everyday communication.
Therefore it is probably "the most Russian" city in the European
Union. Citizens of EU and many other countries do not need any
visa to enter or stay for up to 90 days in Latvia. Daugavpils
and Latvia offer a European-level comfort and safety. Accommodation
- carefully chosen host families for language immersion.
Being treated as a member of a family gives the ideal
opportunity to practise Russian in an authentic environment and
experience the Russian way of living.

of intensive language courses for international adults and students
who wish to use Latvian or Russian in their work and for
communication worldwide. During the summer time Centre of
Professional Development provides English language support classes
to international students who wish to study at the Faculty of
International Tourism. The Tourism & Hospitality Management study
programme offered at Turiba is the only study programme in the
entire Baltic Region that has been accredited by the World Tourism
Organisation and has received the WTO TedQual certificate. This
certificate stands for internationally approved quality of education
and training in the field of tourism and hospitality.

 European School of Russian
European School of Russian (ESR) in Riga, Latvia is teaching Russian as a foreign language mostly to students from USA and EU countries and is differentiated by quality-based methods of teaching provided by highly professional staff. The staff at ESR are experienced native speakers qualified to teach Russian as a foreign language and are having professional linguistic degrees as well as additional qualifications in cultural studies, modern languages, science and business. Our priority is on active speaking and we draw special attention to after-class activities ensuring total immersion in Russian language and culture. In addition, almost half of Latvian population are native Russians and almost 95% of population speak Russian fluently, thus ensuring good practice of Russian to foreign students. Moreover, since May 2004 Latvia is member of EU, therefore US and EU citizens do not require a visa.
