IDS seeks to redefine the experience of design education. IDS was established in Singapore in 1989 and has developed into Singapore's premiere private provider of design dedicated to the professional disciplines of interior design programs ranging from certificates, diploma, advanced diploma to degree level.

IDS is Case trusted, approved and recognized by the Ministry of Education and is recognized by international institutions and universities. In 1999, Canberra Institute of Technology and the University of Canberra licensed IDS to deliver their Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Interior Design programs in Singapore.

For two decades, IDS has constantly honed, developed and inspired students to challenge their creative abilities and become competent & dynamic designers in the near future. Students from Inspiration Design School have been successful in winning top prizes in various design competitions organized by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC). One of Inspiration Design School's most celebrated accolades and highlights is winning the top prizes of the FLIP! Challenge competition for three (3) consecutive years.

The Furniture, Lifestyle, Innovation and Perspective (FLIP!) Challenge, which was incepted only four (4) years ago, was opened to public and private institutions, including polytechnics and universities.
