Courses
We cater to the educational needs of toddlers, preschoolers, primary school & secondary school children, teens and adults. We are experts on Phonics for Reading, Creative Writing, Phonetics and Phonology (all levels), Reading Clinic, Speech Therapy, English for Foreigners, Conversational English (all levels), Intensive English for Academic Purposes (all levels).
For adults, we currently have an Adult Conversational English Programme and English Phonetics and Phonology classes, both of which are for part-time students who do not require a student pass.
Phonics Lessons - Methodology
The Phonics lessons are taught using a multi-sensory approach. The lessons are interactive and fun. Each lesson is packed with a number of activities, like listening to stories, telling stories and trying to write them, playing Phonics games, reading and role play. Students will be introduced to books during interactive story time when the teacher will read selected stories and get the pupils to respond by asking questions or talking about what they have heard. Some sight words that occur frequently will be highlighted so that pupils start building up a sight word vocabulary. Phonics with Conversational Skills is also taught in much the same way.
Intensive English for Academic Purposes - Methodology
The teachers will encourage students to learn English by using it. Many class activities will be carried out to enable students to be active learners in and out of the classroom. Classes will focus on grammar, vocabulary and comprehension skills. Students will improve their core skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking English. In the Advanced classes, they will be required to make presentations to the class. These classes are offered at Basic, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Advanced level.
