Media Design School (formerly known as First
International Design School) offers a diverse
and comprehensive range of design and design
management programmes.
Headquartered in Singapore, FMDS is a wholly
owned subsidiary of First Media Design and
Education Group Singapore’s largest local design
communication group with more than 20 design
studios in Singapore and the regional markets.
FMDS specialises in graphic design, multimedia
design, and design management programmes at
Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. It has
articulation pathway for Bachelor of Arts
studies to selected overseas universities
including Royal Melbourne Information Technology
(RMIT), Australia.
First Media is the only design communication
group to win the Enterprise 50 Startup Award in
recognition of FM’s business success in the
design communication industry. In 2006, FM CEO,
Mark Phooi, a trained graphic designer himself
was awarded one of the Top Entrepreneurs of the
Year Award for his business leadership in the
design communication industry. Both prestigious
awards were only accorded to esteem
organisations with sound business practices,
excellent financial track records and growth
strategies.
FMDS Singapore is located in Middle Road, the
heart of city and a short 5 mins walk to the
National Library. FMDS Jakarta is located in
Dharmawangsa Square, a high end district in the
South of Jakarta.
