Courses: We specialize in one-to-one French courses that focus on French social and business cultures as well as key language skills. These are extremely high-quality courses, with excellent, highly qualified, highly experienced and patient teachers.

- One-to-one intensive French courses in Chamonix:
Our French language courses are high-quality, intensive, custom-made courses. A typical program is a 5-day course. You study 3hrs a day; your afternoons (or mornings) are free for you to ski, snowboard, walk, play golf or tennis, or relax. The evenings are for you to test your new language skills and confidence in the many different restaurants and bars in bustling Chamonix. These intensive French courses are available all year round. "French & Ski", in Chamonix is our most popular course.

- Highly intensive French business courses in Chamonix which focus on language for communication and on key aspects of French social and business cultures. These one-to-one courses are very demanding and very effective, custom-made for the client, with 5 days a week of structured language use.

Activities of your choice with a French professional instructor take up the afternoons, giving a total of 45 hours of 1:1 intensive French language use. These afternoon activities are an essential part of your course. Afternoon activity options (depending on the time of year and weather) include: golf, off-piste skiing, ice-climbing, wine-tasting, paragliding, walking or snowshoeing, tennis or cross-country skiing, and mountain-biking.

- French courses with homestay (or farm or hotel) in Mens:
We have a range of local families who are delighted to welcome you. They include the local blacksmith, the potter, a retired businessman, and a nurse (and her physiotherapist husband).

You study one-to-one 3hrs a day and your afternoons (or mornings) are free for you, with a wide variety of craft courses and sports available to complement your French course. Courses in pottery, felt-making, watercolour painting, painting furniture, organic cookery, medicinal plants and “green” construction techniques are all possible: all in French! Popular sports and activities include walking, mountain biking, windsurfing & kite surfing, horse riding and paragliding. Courses in these sports are also available.

Chamonix
is a lively, cosmopolitan town situated at the foot of Mont-Blanc in the French Alps, on the borders of Switzerland and Italy in south-east France. It is just 1hr from Geneva International airport (code: GVA), with direct flights from all European capitals and many UK and European cities. There are regular, fast, taxi transfers direct to your hotel.

Known for its spectacular skiing and hiking, Chamonix also hosts an excellent golf course as well as numerous bars cafes and restaurants. Activities available in Chamonix include: Golf, Skiing, Snowboarding, Mountain-biking, Hiking, River-rafting, Wine-tasting, Cultural-visits, Paragliding, Climbing, Abseiling, Tennis.

Accommodation in Chamonix: Two hotels - one hotel is located in in the centre of Chamonix, and the other in Les Praz ski resort, Chamonix. Options include B&B accommodation and Half-board accommodation (breakfast + evening meal). Both hotels have wi-fi access.

Mens is the market town for the Trieves; a wonderful plateau of rolling farmland and forests surrounded by the mountains of the Vercors and the Ecrins in south-east France. This is real France where you are unlikely to hear English spoken, 40min south of Grenoble and 2 hrs south of Lyon. Here you stay with a local family, discuss life & politics and farming and 'Europe', and enjoy the atmosphere and live music in the cafés.

The Trieves Plateau is home to France's most important "green" centre - Terre Vivante - and the ethos of organic farming and green building permeate the region. Group language lessons are timed to include the "foire Bio"; the annual "green" fair of the Trieves which takes place at the end of September every year.

Lyon St Exupéry is the nearest international airport. Grenoble has daily flights from London. Flights are sometimes seasonal – Chambery (2 hrs away) for example has many winter flights, but few outside the ski season.

Accommodation in Mens: Homestay with a local family. Students can also stay on a working farm, and enjoy the local food, fresh from the farmers' own garden and their own Trieves wine, from their vineyards. If you prefer hotel accommodation, we can offer a very convenient and friendly 3 star hotel.
