this culturally rich city is located in the
mid-west of Spain (in the Castilla y Leon

are held at the leading Salamanca Spanish
Language Academy, in a historical building a
former convent of the 'Teresians' order, built
in 1850. We offer
Spanish immersion courses taught by
experienced and qualified native Spanish
teachers to persons from all over the world.
Rich Culture & Heritage: Within this
central location, you can discover many of
Salamanca's cultural and historical sites, from
Plaza Mayor, the 16th century Convento de San
Esteban, the Renaissance palace Palacio Anaya,
Casa de las Conchas, Iglesia de la Purisima
church and the Renaissance court, Monasterio de
los Irlandeses. Guided excursions to many of
Salamanca's attractions are available free in
the Total Program.
Salamanca has been declared the 'City of
Mankind's Heritage' by UNESCO and named the
'European Cultural Capital'. In this city,
Castilian Spanish (pure Spanish) is widely
spoken, and over 30 percent of its population
are Spanish students, making it an ideal
location for studying Spanish. This 'university
town' has the oldest university in Spain and one
of the oldest universities in the world. Immerse
in Salamanca's Spanish culture, literature and
history within the surroundings of cathedrals,
plazas, convents, palaces, and churches.
Courses: All levels from Basic/Beginner Spanish,
Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and
Proficient. All the levels, with the
exception of the Proficient level, are
sub-divided into 3 groups containing a higher,
medium and lower level.
Our comprehensive and balanced curriculum integrates all aspects of the language:
reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar,
phonetics and vocabulary.

Academic Credit Transfer: Past participants have been awarded US credit transfers after completing
some of the programs offered. Participants are required to contact the Study Abroad Advisor or Spanish Language Department in their home college or university regarding the procedures for academic transfer. Contact us for more information.
Assessment & Certificate: Continuous
assessment and tests are carried out throughout
the program. Students completing these programs
successfully are granted a Certificate that
certifies the type of program, and the achieved
level of proficiency.
