Pontifical University of Salamanca:
Salamanca is a small city (170.000 people) situated in the west of Spain, 200 kilometres from Madrid. In 2002, the city successfully hosted the "European City of Culture" and has been honoured a "UNESCO World Heritage City" for its rich arts. Salamanca's University is located in the heart of the historical city, it is one of the oldest in Europe and boasts world recognition. The beauty of the city and its surroundings, as well as its university atmosphere, attract students every year from all over the world. This charming and vibrant location offers students the opportunity to study in a multicultural campus amid a wealth of history and culture.

A six week summer program has been designed by the Pontifical University of Salamanca with the objective of acquiring and developing competency in Spanish as a Second Language. This program will allow the students to acquire and develop gradually the four key language skills: written comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and oral expression. Each student’s level will be determined by means of a level test on the first day of the course.

The program includes four hours of class of Spanish Language and Culture a day (from 09:00 – 13:00 h), consisting of a grammar part, a conversational part as well as optional subjects (Spanish and Hispano-American literature, Spanish civilization and culture, Spanish for special purposes).
