Edu-Culture Immersion:
Based in Berkeley, California, Edu-Culture Immersion (ECI) provides high school students and college students a unique opportunity to improve their Spanish through living with a volunteer Spanish family on the Costa del Sol for 2-4 weeks, though you can choose to stay longer if you wish. With no program of planned activities, you will live the life of a typical Spanish teenager in the popular beach resort of Estepona, approximately 72km from Malaga in the Andalusian region of Southern Spain.
Conveniently situated only 24km from Marbella and 72km from Malaga and it's international airport, Estepona is surrounded by the sea and the Sierra Bermeja mountains. Andalusian in culture, the town has a strong southern Spanish identity, and is a beautiful place to spend time soaking up the sun, along with the culture, and all the while improving your spoken Spanish.
Enjoying 325 days of blue skies each year, Estepona offers fantastic beaches, a modern sports marina with many tapas cafés and restaurants, and a white-walled town offering shopping and picturesque squares.
