Summer Study Abroad Programs in Spain for Teens
Based in Berkeley, California, Edu-Culture International works in conjunction with AGI, a non-profit educational travel organization. With additional offices in Europe & Costa Rica, we are dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding between young people throughout the world. ECI’s staff are highly trained professionals with a background in education who have successfully organized educational travel programs in Spain, France, Costa Rica & the US since 1998.
Our summer study abroad and exchange programs in Spain for high school students include intensive Spanish classes, daily activities and up to a week of travel within Spain. The teen study trips are based in Salamanca, San Sebastian, Granada or Nerja (on the Mediterranean coast). ECI's Spanish language programs provide unique opportunities for teenagers to study Spanish in Spain during the summer and offer the choice of staying with host families or in university-style dormitories.
ECI’s University Credit Option is an invaluable asset in today’s competitive realm of higher education. It gives high school students the opportunity to earn 3 semester units of Spanish through an accredited US university.

Spanish Immersion Summer Camps - Special emphasis is placed upon communication skills and the use of language in real-life situations. Participants will have conversation classes, oral and written exercises, structured grammar, audio and video practice drills, and conversation on topics such as Spanish and Latin American culture and civilization. In addition, there will be practical exercises in reading, composition, and vocabulary. Experience local culture and make friends you'll never forget.

Instituto Hemingway Language School in Bilbao with its partner school offers a summer camp for boys and girls aged between 13 and 17 in the Angosto Monastery Youth Centre in Villanañe (Álava), set in the Valdegovia Valley, next to the Valderejo natural park and well communicated with Vitoria, Logroño, Santander, Burgos and Bilbao. Students enjoy a rich artistic and cultural heritage setting, with picturesque villages, majestic castles, monasteries in the mountains, watermills, caves. This is a magical place to visit and explore.

The camp combines English or Spanish classes with sports and outdoors activities. This is an international camp where boys and girls from a range of different nationalities all come together and in which English or Spanish is learnt, according to the pupil's country of origin. Upon arrival at the youth camp, all of the teenagers sit a test so that their level is known and they can be placed in a corresponding class.

Trinity School is located in the commercial heart of the city, 2 minutes from the famous bullring. The city is a picturesque and lively Spanish city situated on the Costa de la Luz, 20 minutes a from Cádiz. There are 22 km. of Atlantic coastline around the city, with 15 Km of beaches of fine golden sand.
The Costa de la Luz has an unusually clear and intense quality of the light, 3100 hours per year. The city where Christopher Columbus stayed while planning his famous voyage to discover the New World, with a palm lined park, a maze of narrow bustling streets, a lively central market and a busy shopping and commercial area.
