Medellín is located in the north-western region of Colombia, and the second most populated city in Colombia after Bogotá, with over 2.2 million inhabitants. It is a city large enough to offer a variety of activities where students can easily become acquainted with the Colombian culture and its people. Medellín is a green city, with well designed streets and avenues. At 1,538 mts. (over 5000 ft) above sea level, its wonderful climate of 24°C (76°F) average year-round, has earned it international recognition as the City of Eternal Spring. Medellín is considered a commercial center and the Fashion Capital of Colombia.

At EAFIT University Language Center, students receive full access to the facilities and resources of a private university: sports scenarios, a language laboratory, the university library and a 600-seat auditorium. Our highly qualified teaching staff hold advanced degrees in education and have extensive experience in working with international students. The EAFIT University Language Center adheres to the communicative approach to teaching a language which leads to the acquisition of communicative competence on the part of the participant.


Courses / Programs:
High quality language programs that provide students with an optimum preparation in the learning of a foreign language. The Spanish Program is structured around four levels of proficiency: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Superior.

The skills that are developed simultaneously in the program are: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The areas of grammar, vocabulary and culture are studied and included within the development of these skills. The class size of maximum 10 students guarantees participants individualized attention from instructors.

A Conversation Program that provides the participants with the opportunity to practice the language on a one-on-one basis and at the same time meet people from different walks of life. Also Spanish Language Proficiency Exam SESEAF, and Cultural Orientation programs.
