The Okanagan Baseball Academy exists to provide youth with an opportunity "to move to the next level" in athletics, academics and to develop social responsibility while playing baseball in a safe, challenging and supportive environment. By focusing on all three disciplines, OBA assists players to develop skills and opportunities for life. Combining on and off field training with a rigorous league schedule, our coaches, who have had careers in professional baseball, work closely with each player to ensure that their goals are realistic and achievable. Our professional staff work to create a positive, supportive environment to develop the full potential of each individual player in the technical, physical, and mental aspects of the game.
Our players receive the best schooling available in the Okanagan Valley, through The Glenfir School. Glenfir is a co-educational, non-denominational, university preparatory school intended to prepare students for an increasingly competitive and complex world. The school community creates a secure and inspiring educational environment and encourages students to strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives.
The Glenfir School's spacious, seventeen acre, wooded campus is centered around a new, bright, and creatively designed building located at the front of Giant's Head Mountain in Summerland, B.C. The site provides students with a beautiful venue away from distractions while offering many opportunities to incorporate the outdoors into various aspects of the curriculum.
Today Glenfir has grown to become the Okanagan's Leading Independent School, attracting over one hundred students from throughout the region and the world in grades Kindergarten to Grade Twelve. Glenfir graduates have achieved enrolment in leading universities in Canada, the USA and Europe.
