IGK is located in Kelowna, one of Canada’s premier resort destinations and blessed with one of the mildest climates in Canada. The city receives over 300 days of sunshine per year and is one of the fastest growing in Canada with a population of 115,000. The region is renowned for its white sand beaches, fabulous water sports, championship golf courses, award winning wineries and lush orchards. The nearby ski resorts of Big White and Silverstar Mountains are world class with ’champagne powder’ skiing from December to April.

International Gateway Kelowna (IGK) is Kelowna’s original (est. 2002) and most trusted ESL school. Canadian owned and operated, IGK offers Practical ESL programs with small class sizes (4-10) and personalized attention. IGK students originate from over 20 countries including Japan, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Colombia and China. Our upscale campus is centrally located and within easy walking distance of shops, beaches, transportation and attractions.

English Programs:
Practical ESL Programs begin weekly for Ages 12 and up with a choice of 15, 25 or 30 study hours per week. There are 5 levels of English in the morning from Beginner to Advanced and afternoon electives in TOEFL, IELTS TOEIC, Cambridge (PET, FCE, CAE and BEC Vantage), Conversation, Media, Canadian Culture and High School Preparation. IGK is an official Cambridge testing centre.

Summer Action Camps include: ESL+Activities, ESL+Golf, ESL+Ice Hockey and ESL+Traditional Summer Camp for Ages 8-18.

2 - 15 week certificate programs in Wine, Bartending and Dog Grooming are available.

IGK also arranges Farmstays, Internships, Homestays and Homestays with a Teacher.
