We have two fantastic programs from which to choose:
1. Studen
ts can participate in a 2-week Spanish language experience program designed for middle school students and high school freshmen in based in Grecia, a small, safe family-centered community in central Costa Rica. Students are divided by abilities, and class size is limited to only three! Accommodation is with the chaperones in a comfortable, small dormitory near the school.
2. High school students can choose a 3-week program with host family immersion, small group classes, and travel throughout Costa Rica with our CPI Costa Rica Study Program.
All Spanish classes are taught by native Spanish speakers who are experienced and talented adults with degrees in teaching Spanish to foreign students. Classes take place in the afternoons, and mornings are filled with excursions, sports and cultural activities, as well as lots of opportunities to interact with Costa Rican youth. Students take a placement test before leaving the U.S. and are put into appropriate class levels. CPI students have the option to earn 3 semester units of university credit in Spanish, a great way to build a future college application!
