Music is your passport, languages are your visas. Language and Music for Life (LMFL) was founded in Spring 1997, and offers unique spring and summer music and language courses in England. LMFL is committed to providing training in both music and foreign languages to students of all ages, with a lower age limit of 10 years old and no upper age limit (adults included). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Our Spring & Summer Courses 2010 will be hosted by the prestigious Clifton College in Bristol, a very picturesque town located in south western England on the river Avon, and extending to the coast of the Bristol Channel, half-way between Cardiff and London. Several international airports are within a reasonable driving distance. Bristol International Airport has connections with all major airports in Europe, and 1 direct daily flight from New York.

Clifton College is one of the oldest and most respected independent schools in South-West England, and is situated 5 minutes from Bristol city centre; yet also only 5 minutes from open countryside. Clifton College holds the highest success rate of all schools in the West of England for pupils who go on to attend Oxford & Cambridge Universities, and has two extremely well-equipped music departments to cater for high level students of music.
Language and Music for Life's spring and summer music and language courses are designed primarily for highly motivated musicians with a level of musical knowledge enabling them to derive maximum benefit from high quality tuition, the course is open to musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions, as well as to skilled amateurs.
Our Music & Language Courses:Our music and language project functions in a context which is rich in individual ability, motivation, language, culture and generations. Learning is not to be restricted to its manifestation in performance, though this is an essential part, but is to be intimately linked
to the dynamics of the whole individual who is able to learn while changing, and able to change while learning.
Music Courses include;
Orchestra conducting, Composition voice tuition (classical and jazz), Choir Chamber music, Piano masterclasses, Violin masterclass, Viola masterclass, Flute and picollo masterclass , Recorder masterclass, Percussion, Brass, Clarinet, Oboe, Cello and Guitar classes.
Language Courses include;
At the same time LMFL provides quality tuition in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) as well as French, Spanish, German, Russian and Mandarin Chinese in very small groups (5-6 maximum) or in one to one tuition. Although the preferred language of communication is English, it is nevertheless possible to learn and practise several second languages.

LMFL Peter Pan Summer Course - An International Summer Music and Language Course for accompanied children aged 2 to 10 years old.
Spring Camp 2010:
Residential and non-residential (day) Language and Music Courses, designed to provide serious music and language tuition for serious musicians, plus choir and chamber music and string orchestra tuition. The course is open to musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions, as well as to skilled amateurs.
