 EAC Edinburgh is an ideal venue for developing your English language skills whilst studying in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful and exciting cities. Edinburgh is one of the Europe’s finest cities, often called ‘the Athens of the North’. It is the political and administrative capital of Scotland and a perfect centre from which to explore the spectacular Scottish countryside. Edinburgh is a compact city which makes it easy to move around. Most of Edinburgh’s top attractions are within 15 minutes’ walk from EAC Edinburgh. There’s also an excellent public bus network including night service.

EAC Edinburgh's language school in central Edinburgh occupies a fine Georgian terrace building in one of Edinburgh's principal streets, Queen Street. The school has five floors with twelve classrooms, a large students room where students can relax, socialise, watch television, and read magazines or books from the library. There is also a computer suite where students will have Internet access, and a pleasant private garden. All the shops of George Street and Princes Street are within two minutes walk and this lovely area is also home to an extensive range of bars, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

EAC offers language courses in 3 main areas – General English, English for Education and Executive courses. Intensive English and One-to-One Classes are also available. We offer examination preparation classes for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam as well as Cambridge University English Language exams (FCE, CAE). We also feature a Work Experience / Placement Programme.

International Summer Schools are designed for international students between the ages of 12 and 18, and all include a mix of English language tuition from EAC's qualified teaching staff, together with a range of recreational activities.

At EAC, we are happy to arrange all your accommodation while you are studying with us. There are two types of accommodation available: Homestay accommodation with local hosts or private home with local hosts.

If you choose homestay accommodation, your host will treat you as part of the household. You will share common living areas such as the lounge, bathroom and kitchen and will eat your meals with your host.  There will probably be other students staying with your host (up to a maximum of four students).  If you choose private home accommodation, you may be sharing with more than four students and may have less direct contact with your host.

If  you prefer more independence, you can also choose residential accommodation in Edinburgh or to stay at one of the university residences.
