Julian Youth Academy:
The Julian Youth Academy is is a fully accredited, private Christian residential boarding school for teen girls 13-17, located in the mountains of San Diego county near San Diego, California. A program of Teen Rescue, this residential boarding school for teenage girls is aimed at helping troubled teen girls by providing firm but loving intervention, interactive education and life skills training.

All high school levels for grades 6 through 12. The curriculum we use is home school-based and published by Alpha Omega Publications.

ADMISSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Please keep in mind that if a teen does not match the qualifications for this program, Teen Rescue, Inc. will assist parents in finding a program that will work. Teen Rescue can coach parents and protect the family from getting taken advantage of or going in a direction that may be detrimental to the child's care. There is no charge for this service. Donations are appreciated but NOT a requirement. Parents will not even be asked for a donation. Teen Rescue is here to help the families that call us.

Qualifications for the Julian Youth Academy

Our focus is (but not limited to):
- Girls
- 12 to 17-year-olds, unless student is willing to stay after she has turned 18
- Has some parental or legal guardian involvement
- Victimization
- Adopted
- Suffered loss
- A.D.D. or A.D.H.D
- Struggling in School
- Behavioral issues
- Certain anti-depressants and certain other medications are okay
- Running away issues
- Minor drug use
- Abandonment issues
- Suffered Trauma
- Alcohol abuse 

JYA's focus is not in the following areas:
- Those who have serious medical issues
- Those who have serious clinical issues
- Those who have been involved in most felony crimes
- Those whom have victimized another individual sexually (When a potential student has victimized someone in another way, her admission is determined on a case-by-case basis).
- History of assaults or violence towards others
- Actively suicidal (attention-getting behavior will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
- A danger to themselves or others (5150 Health and Safety Code)
- If the teen is addicted to any hard core drug (if a child has been through a detox program, she would be under consideration for acceptance at JYA)

Case by Case Evaluation for qualification:
- Pregnant
- Committed minor crimes, ie: Drugs, joy riding, curfew, shoplifting, Truancy
- Criminal history
- Gang involvement
- Cult involvement
- Cutting
- Eating disorders
- On clinical medication
