ACE classes are designed to improve students' English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in order to prepare for college-level coursework. The instruction and teaching materials are most helpful to those students who have high-beginning to intermediate English skills.

Five eight-week sessions are offered every year. Each eight-week ACE session consists of twenty hours per week of intermediate-level English instruction in grammar, composition, oral communication, reading, vocabulary, academic writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation and TOEFL iBT preparation.

ACE offers two levels of instruction. Level I is for students with high-beginning to low intermediate English skills. Level II is for students with intermediate to
high-intermediate English Skills. A diagnostic test will be given on orientation day to determine each student's English proficiency level.
