 Teikyo Loretto Heights University is an international university with students from 45 different countries. Our historic campus consists of 19 buildings on 76 acres, and is located at the highest point in Denver, Colorado with convenient access to downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains. Denver is truly an outdoor enthusiast's dream. Skiing, hiking, fishing, rafting and numerous other activities can be found less than an hour's drive away.
Founded in 1989 on the historic campus of the former Loretto Heights College, TLHU is one of the many international schools that make up the worldwide Teikyo University Group, which educates roughly 50,000 students annually. The Teikyo Group consists of dozens of institutions and campuses in Japan, the United States, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, China, and Malaysia. The Group also has affiliations with such world-renowned institutions as Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, and Moscow State.
Programs
Our ESL Program offers levels for all students, from Beginners, to Intermediate, to Advanced. Classes are Monday through Thursday, in the morning from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, or in the evening from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Each class includes reading, writing, speaking, listening, and American culture. The Advanced Levels also offer TOEFL preparation.
You may earn up to 12 credits in English language instruction towards a TLHU Bachelor’s of Arts and/or Associates degrees. For those who wish only to improve their English and not seek a TLHU degree, English instruction is also available in three certificate bearing programs.
