Lumiere is a small, northern Indiana located school that is directed
towards helping the youth obtain the important information for them to
succeed in college and in the world. La Lumiere is located in La
Porte, Indiana, just a little over an hour away from Chicago and is a
coeducational boarding and day college-preparatory high school.
La Lumiere is an exceptional place where
students profit from individualized curriculum
and attention while enjoying an inclusive,
active community. Acceptance is based on
criteria including school records, a personal
recommendation as well as those of current math
and English teachers, and an interview.
Admissions decisions begin in February and
proceed dependent on space availability.
Entrance is normally at the beginning of each
school year; however, entrance at other times is
considered on an individual basis. Limited
financial aid is available and awarded on the
basis of need. La Lumiere School accepts
qualified students without regard to race,
creed, color, sex, or national origin.Courses
La Lumiere offers an
assortment of classes ranging from French and Spanish, to computer
orienting classes such as Java and Web Design
